Commissioning — frequently asked
How much does it cost to commission a song?
A commissioned song starts at €900, an instrumental commission at €1,500. Larger stage, ballet and film scores are quoted individually. Every quote is fixed in writing before work begins.
How long does a custom music composition take?
A song usually takes 4–6 weeks, an instrumental piece 6–10 weeks. Urgent deadlines can often be accommodated — write with your date and you will get an honest answer.
Who owns the music?
The work is written for you alone and is never resold. Depending on the agreement you receive exclusive performance, recording or synchronisation rights; authorship and GEMA registration remain with the composer.
Can you write for my film, theatre or ballet production?
Yes. Commissions include film and stage scores, from a single cue to a full evening-length work, with orchestration and rehearsal materials.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. The studio is based in Wiesbaden, Germany, and works with clients, ensembles and productions worldwide, in English, German and Russian.
